Back & Sciatica Care

Back pain that keeps coming back is rarely a back problem alone. At our Sector 58 clinic we assess the full movement chain — hips, core, thoracic spine — find the real driver of your pain, and treat it with hands-on therapy and structured rehab.

What we treat

Pain, nerve symptoms and stiffness — treated at the source

Whether it is a dull ache that never quite leaves or sharp nerve pain shooting down your leg, we diagnose the mechanical cause first and then treat it — not just the spot that hurts.

  • Persistent lower back pain — dull ache or sharp pain that flares with sitting, bending or first thing in the morning.
  • Sciatica — shooting pain, numbness or tingling travelling down one leg, often past the knee.
  • Slipped or bulging disc symptoms — pain that worsens with coughing, sneezing or prolonged sitting.
  • Lumbar strain and stiffness — locked-up backs after lifting, sport or long travel.
  • Desk-related back pain — the evening ache that builds through every workday.
  • Postural and mechanical back pain — pain driven by weak glutes, stiff hips or a rigid mid-back.
Your treatment

What a session involves

Every plan follows the ART method — Alignment to find the cause, Rehab to treat it, Training to make it last.

Root-cause assessment

Movement screening, orthopaedic and neurological testing, and posture analysis to pinpoint what is actually driving your pain.

Hands-on treatment

Spinal mobilisation, soft-tissue release and nerve mobilisation to calm pain and restore movement.

Active rehabilitation

Progressive core, hip and back strengthening so your spine is supported, not just soothed.

A plan that holds

Clear timelines, a home exercise program and ergonomic guidance to keep you out of pain for good.

Is this for you

Who it’s for

This service is built for people whose back pain has outlasted quick fixes — painkillers, belts, a week of rest — and who want a proper diagnosis and a lasting fix.

  • Desk professionals who sit 8+ hours and end every day stiff.
  • Lifters and athletes dealing with recurring back flare-ups.
  • Anyone told their pain is “just age” or “just posture”.
  • People whose pain keeps returning despite rest and medication.
  • Seniors with degenerative disc or joint changes who want to stay mobile.

Already diagnosed with a slipped disc? Bring your MRI reports — Dr. Akshay Sharma will correlate the scan with your symptoms, because scans and pain don’t always match. Read more on our slipped disc & back pain and sciatica pages.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How many sessions will I need?

Most uncomplicated back pain improves within 4–6 sessions; sciatica and disc-related pain typically need 6–10. You’ll get a clear estimate after your first assessment — we don’t sell open-ended packages.

Do I need an MRI before starting treatment?

No. Most back pain is diagnosed clinically through movement and neurological testing. If red flags appear, or you don’t progress as expected, we’ll refer you for imaging.

I’ve had back pain for years. Can physiotherapy still help?

Yes. Long-standing pain is often maintained by movement habits and deconditioning, both of which respond well to graded rehab — even years in. Chronic does not mean permanent.

Will the treatment be painful?

Treatment is firm but controlled; some techniques cause temporary soreness, like a deep workout. We never push through sharp or radiating pain.

Stop managing back pain. Fix it.
