Slipped Disc & Back Pain Treatment in Sector 58, Gurugram

A “slipped disc” on an MRI sounds alarming — but disc bulges are common, often painless, and very treatable. What matters is whether your symptoms match the scan. At ART we correlate imaging with clinical testing, treat the true driver, and strengthen your back so the problem stays solved.

Common symptoms

Back pain and disc problems share a familiar set of symptoms — here is what brings patients to our Sector 58 clinic:

  • Lower back ache or stiffness, often worst in the morning.
  • Sharp pain with bending, lifting or twisting.
  • Pain radiating into the buttock or leg — sciatica-type symptoms.
  • Muscle spasm that locks the back up suddenly.
  • Pain that worsens with prolonged sitting or standing.
  • Numbness or tingling in the leg or foot with disc-related pain.
Why it happens

What causes it

“Slipped disc” usually means a bulging or prolapsed disc — but back pain has several drivers, and the scan alone doesn’t tell you which one is yours.

How ART treats it

The ART method

Every treatment plan at our Sector 58 clinic runs on three pillars — Alignment, Rehab and Training.

Pillar 01

Alignment — match scan to symptoms

Clinical testing correlated with your MRI to find whether the disc, joints or muscles are the true driver — scans and pain don’t always agree.

Pillar 02

Rehab — calm and mobilise

Manual therapy, graded movement and nerve mobilisation to settle pain and restore confident bending and lifting.

Pillar 03

Training — build a resilient back

Progressive core, hip and full-body strength so your spine handles real life — work, sport, lifting — without relapsing.

Related care: disc and back problems are treated hands-on through our Back & Sciatica Care service. Nerve symptoms down the leg are covered on our sciatica treatment page.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is a slipped disc serious?

Most disc bulges are not dangerous and improve with conservative care. Serious signs — saddle numbness, bladder changes, progressive weakness — are rare but need urgent medical review.

Do I need an MRI for back pain?

Not usually at the start. We image when red flags appear, when pain doesn’t follow the expected course, or when it would change the treatment plan.

Should I rest in bed with back pain?

No — prolonged bed rest delays recovery. Guided movement, walking and the right exercises heal faster. We’ll define your safe dose at the first session.

Can I lift weights again after a slipped disc?

Yes — with proper progression. Many of our patients return to deadlifts and loaded training stronger and better-coached than before their injury.

Your back deserves a proper diagnosis.
