Post-Surgical Rehab

Post-Surgery Rehabilitation & Strength Training

Surgery fixes the structure; rehab rebuilds the person. We take you from the first post-op week to full strength — following your surgeon’s protocol, progressing on our training floor, and discharging you stronger than before.

What we treat

Orthopaedic surgeries — rehabbed in full, not halfway

Too many post-surgical rehabs end at “walking without a limp”. We continue to full strength and function, with testing to prove it — in coordination with your surgeon throughout.

  • ACL reconstruction rehab — the full 9–12 month journey back to sport.
  • Meniscus and shoulder surgery recovery — arthroscopic procedures rehabbed properly.
  • Spinal surgery rehabilitation — discectomy and laminectomy recovery.
  • Joint replacement rehab — knee and hip replacements, regaining confident walking and stairs.
  • Fracture recovery — stiffness and weakness after cast or fixation removal.
  • Tendon and muscle repair rehab — graded reloading after surgical repair.

What a session involves

Every plan follows the ART method — Alignment to find the cause, Rehab to treat it, Training to make it last.

Protocol-aligned start

We work from your surgeon’s protocol and operative notes; early rehab begins as soon as you’re cleared.

Restore the basics

Swelling control, range of motion and muscle activation in the early weeks.

Strength on the gym floor

Progressive resistance training to rebuild the muscle that surgery and inactivity took away.

Tested discharge

Strength symmetry and functional testing before we sign you off — no guessing.

Is this for you

Who it’s for

Whether your surgery was last week or last year, structured rehab is what turns a successful operation into a successful recovery.

  • Anyone in the first weeks after orthopaedic surgery.
  • Athletes working back from reconstruction.
  • Seniors rebuilding confidence after joint replacement.
  • People months out from surgery who never completed rehab.
  • Patients whose surgeons have specifically prescribed physiotherapy.

Skipped rehab after surgery? It’s rarely too late. We’ve rebuilt strength and function in patients a year or more post-op — the body adapts whenever you start loading it properly.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

When should rehab start after surgery?

As soon as your surgeon clears it — often within days. Early, gentle rehab prevents stiffness and muscle loss that are much harder to reverse later.

Do you coordinate with my surgeon?

Yes. We follow the operative protocol, share progress updates, and flag anything that needs the surgeon’s eyes.

How long until I’m back to normal?

A meniscus cleanup may take 6–8 weeks; an ACL reconstruction 9–12 months; a joint replacement 3–4 months for daily life. Your timeline is set at your assessment.

It’s been months since my surgery and I never did rehab. Is it too late?

No. Strength and function can be rebuilt long after surgery. The assessment will show what’s recoverable — usually far more than patients expect.
