Neck Pain & Posture Correction

Stiff necks, tension headaches and rounded shoulders are the signature injuries of desk life. We treat the pain, then retrain the posture that caused it — so relief lasts longer than the drive home.

What we treat

Neck pain, headaches and postural strain — treated at the cause

Most neck pain we see starts below the neck — in a stiff thoracic spine and weak postural muscles. We assess the whole chain, not just where it aches.

  • Tech neck / text neck — ache and stiffness from hours of looking down at screens.
  • Cervical spondylosis stiffness — age-related neck stiffness and reduced turning.
  • Tension headaches — headaches that start at the base of the skull and wrap forward.
  • Whiplash recovery — neck pain and stiffness after road accidents or sudden jerks.
  • Rounded shoulders and forward head posture — the desk-worker’s silhouette.
  • Radiating arm pain — tingling or heaviness down the arm from cervical nerve irritation.
Your treatment

What a session involves

Every plan follows the ART method — Alignment to find the cause, Rehab to treat it, Training to make it last.

Posture and movement audit

Assess neck, thoracic spine and shoulder mechanics, plus a review of your workstation setup.

Hands-on release

Cervical and thoracic mobilisation with soft-tissue release for overworked neck and upper-back muscles.

Retrain the deep system

Deep neck flexor, lower trapezius and serratus activation — the muscles that hold good posture without effort.

Make it automatic

Ergonomic corrections and a short daily routine that stops posture collapsing by evening.

Is this for you

Who it’s for

If your neck gets stiffer as the workday goes on, or your headaches start at the skull base and build through the afternoon, your neck is asking for this.

  • IT professionals and desk workers with end-of-day neck ache.
  • Students with study-related neck pain and headaches.
  • Drivers with long commutes and a stiff turning neck.
  • Anyone whose headaches clearly start in the neck.
  • People told their “cervical” is fine who are still in pain.

Posture correction is not about sitting up straight all day — nobody can. It’s about building the strength and mobility that make good posture your body’s default, not a chore.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can years of bad posture actually be corrected?

Yes. Posture is a habit held by muscles and joints, and both adapt to training. Most people see visible, lasting change within 4–6 weeks of consistent work.

Are my headaches really coming from my neck?

If they start at the skull base, worsen through the workday and ease with neck movement or heat, the neck is very likely the driver. Your assessment will confirm it.

Do I need to wear a cervical collar?

Almost never. Collars weaken neck muscles and delay recovery; they are reserved for specific acute injuries.

Is neck manipulation safe?

We use gentle, graded mobilisation rather than forceful cracking, and we screen every patient for risk factors before any hands-on neck work.
